About Cellar 13 Films

At Cellar 13 Films, we craft cinematic stories that captivate and inspire, blending modern elegance with timeless storytelling.

Our mission is simple- to make films that not only stir the imagination, but films that will wake your brain up and get you thinking. It doesn’t matter if we make a 5 minute film, a feature, or a series; we always want to keep spice in our art, and we want to take ALL of the film cliches out of our projects. One of our motto’s is, “together we will reach the world.” We aren’t here to bow down to the corporate puppet masters, we aren’t going to be told what “they” think society wants to see on the silver screen; we will put out films that tingle with thought provoking material.

A glimpse into our recent cinematic ventures.

Our very first Project

Our first film was a 15 minute short, a gripping thriller set in the suburbs of Sacramento, CA. Blending moody visuals with a haunting theme to pull viewers into the story. Starring Carl O'Leary and Jackie Dallas.

48 Hour Film Challenge

The Stand Up was a dark comedy that we completed in just 48 hours from start to being canned. During this 48 hour challenge, we had to dig into a fish bowl and pull out a ticket. We got Dark Comedy, and that thrilled me. We were given 1 line that we had to incorporate into the script, and we had one prop that we had to use. The rest was up to us. So, we wrote the script, got the actors and crew, location, filmed it, and edited it all within the time frame of 48 hours. It was definitely a fun experience, and full of pressure to time things perfectly, but we got it done. This film starred my great friend Shaun Taylor who sadly passed away, but his memory lives on through his awesome performance in this film.

48 hour film challenges are a great way to test time management, and to see how well everyone works under pressure.

What If.......You Had To Choose.

This film had a Mob theme to it, and was filmed in 2 locations. Old Town Sacramento, CA, and a warehouse in Roseville, CA. I had a great cast and crew on this one, and the whole process was seamless. I played the Mob Boss, and Tony Savo pictured here with me played my Underboss. Another awesome time making a film.

The Choice

This was yet another fun project. This one was a coming of age film that dealt with some very sensitive issues. I think that we filmed it in a way that showed the reality of life, and some of the actual things that some teenagers go through. It was an emotional roller coaster for me on this particular film, because some of the subject matter really hit home. The star of the movie, Blake Boarders who is pictured here with me did an excellent job throughout the movie. His great performance helped us win Best Picture, and we have put the film in other film festivals and have won there as well. This particular short film is something that I would eventually turn into a feature.

Cellar 13 Films brought our story to life with stunning visuals and heartfelt emotion.
